Helpful Notes:
- Please note that we may not be able to respond to same-day booking requests, as game drives are usually planned a day in advance.
- We accept payments via Pesapal online link, card, or MPesa, with full payment required before the start of the safari. Pick-ups or drop-offs outside Nairobi for Nairobi National Park game drives may incur an additional fee.
- Before your game drive, please purchase your park entry ticket in advance through the eCitizen website at https://kwspay.ecitizen.go.ke/single-park-entry/nairobi-national-park/guests.
- When asked “Are you paying for vehicle?”, select “No”, as the vehicle entry fee is already covered in your booking.
- When selecting the gate, please choose “Main Gate,” which is the Langata Road entrance—this is the gate our driver-guides typically use. If you’re taking an Uber to meet your guide for group tours, set your destination to the KWS Main Gate on Langata Road.
- If you encounter any issues while booking your park ticket, please contact KWS directly at 0800 597000 or customerservice@kws.go.ke, as they are responsible for all ticketing inquiries and support.
- As of October 14, the new park entry rates are still reflected on the eCitizen platform, even though the court temporarily halted the fee increase on October 2. According to KWS, visitors should proceed to pay the new rates ($80 for non-residents), as the system has not yet been reverted to the previous rates pending further court determination.
- KWS has advised guests to book using the current displayed rates and then email customerservice@kws.go.ke to request a refund for the overpayment. Unfortunately, there isn’t an alternative at the moment since cash payments are no longer accepted at the park gate.
- Please note that the eCitizen link for purchasing Nairobi National Park tickets may sometimes load slowly or appear blank for a while. If this happens, be patient and try reloading the page — it usually resolves after a few attempts.
- Please ensure you purchase your park entry ticket online before meeting your driver. The driver will already have secured his own entry ticket along with the vehicle permit, so having your ticket ready will help you enter the park without delays.
- Kindly note that Nairobi National Park does not accept cash payments at the gate — all tickets must be purchased in advance via eCitizen. On the day of your visit, simply present the soft copy of your ticket along with your passport or ID at the park entrance.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Ticket:
- The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (Elephant Orphanage) is open only from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and advance booking is required at least two days before your visit.
- NairobiPark.org does not book tickets for guests; you must reserve directly through the official Sheldrick Wildlife Trust website using their contact form.
- In your message, include the date of your visit, number of adult and child tickets, and the names and ages of all attendees.
- Once confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email, which must be presented (printed or digital) on the day of your visit.
Other tickets:
- Except for Nairobi National Park, the Nairobi Safari Walk, the Animal Orphanage (both located within the park complex), and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust—all of which require advance or online ticket purchase via eCitizen or direct pre-booking—tickets for other attractions such as the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum can be easily purchased on arrival at their respective gates. NairobiPark.org doesn’t make ticket bookings on behalf of guests.
- If you’ve booked a half-day or full-day safari and paid your deposit but haven’t received your driver’s contact information or vehicle assignment by 6:00 PM the day before your safari, please call or WhatsApp +254 769 103 670 for immediate assistance.
