Terms and Conditions for Booking Tours at NairobiPark.org
Last updated: 22 May 2026
NairobiPark.org is an authoritative visitor information and safari enquiry platform for Nairobi National Park. The website provides reliable planning guidance for visitors looking to understand Nairobi National Park, including curated safari packages led by seasoned Nairobi National Park-dedicated guides who know the park’s habitats, wildlife patterns, ecology, gates, routes, and practical visitor conditions.
NairobiPark.org may work with external partners, professional driver-guides, vehicle providers, transport operators, attraction providers, payment processors, and other service providers to deliver or support the tours and services listed on this platform. These Terms and Conditions apply to all enquiries, quotations, bookings, payments, tour arrangements, vehicle arrangements, guide services, airport pickups, add-on activities, and related services made through NairobiPark.org or any official communication channel connected to NairobiPark.org.
NairobiPark.org is not the official website of Kenya Wildlife Service. Nairobi National Park entry fees, conservation fees, official park rules, ticketing procedures, gate access, park opening conditions, and official park decisions remain under Kenya Wildlife Service or the relevant official payment platform. By submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation, paying a deposit, confirming a booking, or participating in a tour arranged through NairobiPark.org, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Definitions
In these Terms, “NairobiPark.org,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to NairobiPark.org and its authorised representatives handling visitor enquiries, bookings, tour coordination, payments, or service delivery on behalf of the platform. “Website” or “Site” refers to NairobiPark.org. “Client,” “guest,” “traveller,” and “you” refer to the person making the booking and all people included in that booking, including adults, children, companions, students, family members, corporate guests, school groups, or any person paid for by the booking party. “Services” means the tour, transport, driver-guide service, safari vehicle, pickup, drop-off, itinerary coordination, booking assistance, and any other service expressly included in the confirmed quotation or booking confirmation.
2. Scope of Services
These Terms apply to Nairobi National Park half-day tours, full-day tours, private game drives, airport pickup or layover safaris, Nairobi city and wildlife combination tours, add-on visits such as Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Nairobi Safari Walk, Karen Blixen Museum, or other attractions where included in writing, and any private transport, guide, vehicle, or safari arrangement confirmed through NairobiPark.org. A service is only included if it is expressly stated in your written quotation, invoice, payment link, email, WhatsApp confirmation, or booking confirmation.
Unless stated otherwise in writing, tour prices do not include KWS park entry tickets, guest conservation fees, meals, snacks, drinks other than drinking water where included, tips, souvenirs, personal expenses, travel insurance, flights, visas, accommodation, third-party attraction fees, or costs caused by delays, late arrival, wrong tickets, inaccurate information, traffic, airport delays, or changes requested by the client.
3. Booking and Confirmation
Submitting an enquiry does not create a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only when we have accepted the booking in writing and received the required deposit or full payment. Vehicle and driver-guide availability is not secured until confirmation is issued and payment has been received. Clients are responsible for providing accurate travel dates, pickup locations, pickup times, contact details, group size, number of adults and children, flight details where relevant, hotel details, special requests, and any accessibility, medical, safety, dietary, or timing information that may affect the tour.
4. Prices, Quotations, and Price Changes
Prices shown on NairobiPark.org are provided for planning guidance and may change due to fuel prices, vehicle operating costs, VAT, government taxes, KWS fees, park entry charges, third-party attraction fees, exchange rates, payment processing costs, guide or vehicle availability, group size, pickup or drop-off location, tour duration, or other costs outside our reasonable control. A quotation is valid only for the period stated in writing, and if no validity period is stated, the price remains subject to confirmation at the time of booking. Once a booking is confirmed and paid, we will make reasonable efforts to honour the confirmed price, but unavoidable increases imposed by government authorities, park authorities, tax authorities, payment providers, or third-party suppliers may be passed on to the client.
5. Deposit and Payment
Unless stated otherwise in writing, a 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking, and the balance must be paid before the tour begins unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing. For short-notice bookings, same-day bookings, next-day bookings, or tours scheduled within 24 hours, full advance payment may be required. Payments may be made by secure payment link, card, M-Pesa, bank transfer, cash where accepted, or any other method approved by us. All bank charges, card fees, transfer charges, payment gateway fees, chargeback fees, and currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the client unless stated otherwise.
6. Failure to Pay
If the required deposit, balance, or full payment is not received by the agreed deadline, we may treat the booking as unconfirmed, release the reserved vehicle or driver-guide, cancel or suspend the service, withhold all or part of the service, require full payment before departure, or recover cancellation fees, supplier costs, payment charges, and other non-refundable costs already incurred.
7. Cancellation by the Client
Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email or WhatsApp and are effective only when received and acknowledged by us. Unless different terms are stated in your quotation or booking confirmation, cancellations made 31 days or more before the tour date qualify for a full refund less bank charges, card fees, payment processing fees, and non-refundable third-party costs, cancellations made 15–30 days before the tour date qualify for a 50% refund less applicable charges and non-refundable costs, cancellations made 8–14 days before the tour date qualify for a 25% refund less applicable charges and non-refundable costs, and cancellations made 7 days or less before the tour date, same-day cancellations, and no-shows are charged at 100% with no refund. Park tickets, third-party attraction fees, supplier costs, payment processing fees, and other non-refundable costs are not controlled by NairobiPark.org and may not be refundable.
8. Changes Requested by the Client
Requests to change a confirmed booking, including date, pickup time, pickup location, drop-off location, group size, tour duration, vehicle type, airport pickup, add-on attraction, or special guide request, must be made in writing and are subject to availability, operational feasibility, park rules, guide availability, vehicle availability, timing, and additional cost. A change is not confirmed until accepted by us in writing, and any additional amount must be paid before the amended service is provided.
9. Changes or Cancellation by NairobiPark.org
We may cancel, postpone, alter, or adjust a tour where necessary due to safety concerns, vehicle breakdown, guide illness, extreme weather, road closures, park closures, civil unrest, security issues, government restrictions, force majeure, operational constraints, or any situation that makes the tour unsafe, impossible, or impractical. Where possible, we may offer a replacement vehicle, replacement driver-guide, revised itinerary, revised pickup time, postponed tour date, substitute service of similar value, or refund for the portion of the service not provided. We are not liable for indirect losses, missed flights, missed accommodation, missed third-party reservations, emotional distress, loss of enjoyment, or additional expenses caused by unavoidable changes or cancellations.
10. Nairobi National Park Tickets and KWS Rules
Nairobi National Park entry tickets and guest conservation fees are separate from our tour price unless expressly stated in writing. Clients are responsible for purchasing the correct KWS ticket for the correct date, park, visitor category, and entry conditions unless we have expressly agreed in writing to assist. If a client purchases the wrong ticket, selects the wrong date, enters the wrong visitor category, arrives without required identification, or fails to comply with KWS ticketing or gate procedures, we are not liable for denied entry, delays, missed tour time, additional ticket costs, or refund refusal by the official ticketing platform. KWS, eCitizen, and other official systems operate under their own rules, terms, payment procedures, and refund policies.
11. Itinerary Flexibility and Wildlife Sightings
Safari routes and timings are planned in good faith based on the tour type, available time, park conditions, wildlife movement, guide judgement, safety, road conditions, visitor interests, and official park rules. Nairobi National Park is a natural wildlife area, and sightings of specific animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, birds, or any other species, are never guaranteed. The driver-guide may adjust the route, timing, stops, or itinerary for safety, animal behaviour, road conditions, weather, park instructions, or the best possible safari experience.
12. Pickup, Timekeeping, and Delays
Clients must be ready at the agreed pickup location at the agreed pickup time. If the client is late, the tour may be shortened, adjusted, or cancelled, and no refund is due for time lost due to client lateness. We make reasonable efforts to arrive on time, but Nairobi traffic, road closures, weather, gate delays, security checks, airport delays, mechanical issues, or other circumstances may affect timing. For airport pickups, layover tours, Sheldrick bookings, restaurant reservations, hotel transfers, or flight-connected arrangements, clients must provide accurate timing information, but we cannot guarantee that delays beyond our control will not occur.
13. Airport Pickups and Flight Delays
For airport pickup or layover tours, clients must provide accurate flight numbers, arrival times, terminal details, and contact information. If a flight is delayed, rescheduled, diverted, or cancelled, we will try to adjust the pickup or tour where possible, but additional waiting time, airport parking, shortened safari time, extra vehicle time, or itinerary changes may attract additional charges. We are not liable for missed tours, missed flights, shortened safaris, or additional costs caused by airline delays, immigration delays, baggage delays, customs delays, airport congestion, or incorrect flight information.
14. Vehicles, Guides, and External Partners
Vehicles and driver-guides are allocated based on availability, group size, tour type, booking details, and operational requirements. A specific vehicle or named guide may be requested, but is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing. NairobiPark.org may work with external partners, independent driver-guides, professional vehicle providers, transfer providers, attraction providers, payment processors, and other service providers to deliver part of the service. We are not liable for independent acts, omissions, delays, errors, negligence, or service failures of third parties not directly controlled by NairobiPark.org, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
15. Third-Party Attractions and External Services
Some tours may include or connect with third-party attractions or services, including Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Giraffe Centre, Nairobi Safari Walk, Karen Blixen Museum, hotels, restaurants, airlines, airport services, KWS systems, eCitizen systems, museums, conservation centres, or other activity providers. These third parties operate under their own prices, rules, opening hours, booking systems, cancellation policies, refund procedures, and liability terms. We are not responsible for third-party closures, denied entry, delays, price changes, ticketing errors, refund decisions, service quality, or changes outside our control.
16. Client Conduct and Safety
Clients must follow KWS rules, driver-guide instructions, safety guidance, vehicle rules, gate procedures, attraction rules, and responsible wildlife viewing etiquette. Clients must not harass wildlife, feed animals, leave the vehicle where prohibited, pressure the guide to break rules, litter, damage property, abuse staff or other visitors, carry illegal substances, or behave in a way that endangers people, wildlife, property, the guide, the vehicle, or NairobiPark.org. We reserve the right to terminate a tour without refund if client behaviour is unsafe, unlawful, abusive, disruptive, or contrary to park rules.
17. Children and Group Responsibility
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Parents, guardians, teachers, or group leaders are responsible for the behaviour, safety, and supervision of children in their group. Child pricing applies only where the child’s age and eligibility match the conditions stated in the quotation, and we may request children’s ages for pricing, seating, safety, or attraction-entry purposes.
18. Health, Fitness, and Accessibility
Clients are responsible for ensuring that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the tour. Nairobi National Park tours may involve early morning departure, uneven roads, dust, heat, cold, sun exposure, wildlife proximity, limited toilet stops, and long periods seated in a vehicle. Clients should inform us in advance of any medical, mobility, accessibility, pregnancy-related, dietary, or safety consideration that may affect the tour. We will try to assist where reasonably possible, but not all vehicles, routes, park facilities, or attractions may be suitable for every condition or mobility need.
19. Insurance and Personal Belongings
Clients are strongly advised to have suitable travel insurance covering personal injury, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, cancellation, delays, missed flights, baggage loss, theft, personal liability, safari risks, and consequential losses. Our insurance does not cover all personal travel risks, medical expenses, baggage loss, personal belongings, flight disruption, third-party cancellations, or losses outside our legal responsibility. Clients remain responsible for their own phones, cameras, binoculars, luggage, passports, money, jewellery, electronics, and other personal items, and we are not liable for loss, theft, or damage unless caused directly by proven negligence for which we are legally responsible.
20. Complaints and Refunds
If a problem occurs during the tour, the client should inform the driver-guide or the NairobiPark.org booking contact as soon as possible so we have a reasonable opportunity to address it. Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 7 days after the tour. Approved refunds may be reduced by bank charges, card fees, payment gateway costs, currency conversion losses, park tickets, attraction fees, supplier costs, administrative costs, and cancellation charges. Refund timing depends on banks, card providers, mobile money systems, or payment processors, and we are not responsible for delays caused by those providers.
21. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure, delay, cancellation, or change caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, floods, fire, disease outbreaks, government restrictions, park closures, road closures, civil unrest, security incidents, terrorism, war, strikes, fuel shortages, power failure, internet failure, payment system failure, natural disasters, airline disruption, border restrictions, or any similar event. Where force majeure affects a booking, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a postponement, substitute service, partial refund, or other fair solution depending on the circumstances and costs already incurred.
22. Limitation of Liability
We will provide services with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the direct cost of the specific service not provided due to our proven fault. We are not liable for indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, missed flights, missed hotel nights, missed third-party bookings, additional travel expenses, emotional distress, loss of business, loss of profit, third-party failures, client lateness, inaccurate client information, park authority decisions, lack of wildlife sightings, or force majeure events. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
23. Website Content and Intellectual Property
NairobiPark.org provides visitor information, safari planning guidance, conservation content, route explanations, fee guidance, and booking information for general planning purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate, but park fees, rules, ticketing systems, road conditions, wildlife patterns, attraction hours, and government policies may change without notice. Unless otherwise stated, the text, structure, branding, images, tour descriptions, and planning content on NairobiPark.org are owned by or licensed to NairobiPark.org or the relevant rights holder, and may not be copied, republished, modified, sold, or commercially used without written permission.
24. Privacy and Personal Data
Personal information submitted through NairobiPark.org is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By submitting an enquiry or booking request, you agree that we may use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, manage your booking, communicate with you, process payment, assign a vehicle or driver-guide, and provide the requested service. NairobiPark.org may share only the necessary booking or operational details with external partners where needed to deliver the requested service, coordinate pickup, process payment, manage add-on activities, or respond to your enquiry. NairobiPark.org does not sell visitor personal information. Privacy Policy: NairobiPark.org/privacy-policy
25. Agents, Organisers, and Third-Party Bookers
Where a booking is made by a travel agent, tour organiser, company, school, corporate body, or other third party on behalf of guests, that organiser is responsible for providing accurate guest information, communicating these Terms, payment deadlines, cancellation conditions, park rules, safety instructions, and any service limitations to the guests. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, our contract is with the person, company, or organiser making the booking and payment arrangement with us.
26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute relating to NairobiPark.org, a booking, payment, cancellation, tour arrangement, or service shall first be addressed through good-faith communication between the client and NairobiPark.org. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya unless another dispute resolution process is agreed in writing.
